Going to stream a few players investigating real world leads in Boston (looking for missing players and books at library) Tuesday at noon EST.

Checkout reddit.com/r/elinalivesonmorgana to get caught up. Will be posting there with stream details as we are currently flying by the seats of our pants.

I enjoy the posts on Twitter, but I don't think I'm clever enough to solve the passwords.......some were right in front of me, and I managed 2, but I guess this isn't for me, but hot dog, this was a good set up!

btw, i did make some progress, but couldn't solve many of the passwords required along the way. I fell behind and gave up.  This did look like fun, and was probably better to follow as a group rather than alone.

btw, also, I have been reporting the spam.  It seems to take a week to get someone's attention for it to be deleted.

ARG tie-in to Chad Queen's book "Phantom Pact: The Bearer's Burden"

https://chadqueen.com/arg-promo/

Quote
You assume the role of a gray-hat hacker, an infiltration expert who doesn’t mind breaking the rules to get the job done–except this job is unlike any that you’ve ever seen.

All is not well at Deepvault Security, a leading IT security firm. You will need to use all the clues you can find to unravel the mystery and discover the truth behind what’s happening.

You can play the game anytime and anywhere, and you don't need to have read Phantom Pact to enjoy it. But be warned: Some choices you make will have a lasting impact in the Phantom Pact universe, so choose carefully…

I've enjoyed it so far, but have only just scratched the surface.

Trailheads / Rabbit Holes / Magic Leap
« Last post by MrToasty on August 10, 2018, 09:52:56 AM »
Magic Leap, as part of an email launching the Creator Edition of their mixed reality headset, included a bit of Morse code in images in the email. I could go through everything in detail, but this post on Game Detectives does a pretty good job of summing up everything I've seen so far:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedetectives/comments/95twsk/new_magicleap_arg_discovered_in_the_magic_leap/

Has anyone else been looking at this? Not sure if there is a next step to take or if there are more clues to come, where to look for them beyond ML's social media.

I extracted the QRcodes from all of the twitter images. They lead to images which might be clues?

I unstretched all of the text in the other twitter images. They lead to a storage site which requires a password to decrypt the contents, but I've not found anything which works.

I see quite a few URL extensions (in the form of /subdirectory) but none of them work on the only domain I know of right now, the website of the Cafe and Diner.

I've read the thread on reddit (as painful as that is for me to navigate) and the most I can infer is that there is another website hinted at somewhere, somehow, and passwords have been solved and used.  They don't post answers there, not even under spoiler tags.

I am lost and frustrated.  I read the tweets talking about an upcoming meeting and I don't even know where the RSVP is located.  The twitter account keeps making reference to a hashtag which is so generic and popular (and possibly trademarked) that I cannot believe that will lead me to a hidden website alone.

"Make sure to check out some #GoodEats!" Yeah, like I didn't see that from the beginning, like I didn't already try every hashtag they've been posting since day one.  That is not a helpful nudge at all.  (Sorry, I'm beginning to vent, as if they're reading this, as if anyone at all is reading this).

I've made a spreadsheet with all of the staff names, their employee numbers, and other bits of info from the site.  I have a list of a very specific version of Tarot cards, a songlist on Spotify, and nicknames of other characters. Where do I go next?

I can post all of the things I've found, but why bother?

They act like an actual diner/cafe in southern California, but look more closely at the images in their Twitter feed and you'll see plenty of clues.

I haven't solved any yet, and their tweets imply that only one person has gotten access to their "chat" meeting. Early days, yet.

Hey there! I'm an Unfiction transplant that is so thankful to have discovered ARGworld. What a great site!

Saw a friend of mine whose into ARGs repost this video on their timeline, and thought it might be of some interest. The end has some morse code sounding tone, and a date of '7.17.2018'. I'm not great at decoding anything, but I like reading about these kinds of things. Anyone good with morse able to help out? Here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OFfaxESXXo

The links all point to the same video, but the Instagram has some kind of wood picture that seems to connect to each other.

Seems cool. The date's soon enough that I hope we hear more soon!

New e-mail:

Dear Ones,

Our story begins again in a new destination. Michelle and I are on a train heading there now. Our job is to take down a multinational corporation, whose identity must remain secret at the moment for your protection and ours.

This coming week I will summarize the story up until now and also give you some more background information about my traveling companion Michelle. Then the real work shall begin.

In the meantime, please tell me your favorite place to visit, either to travel to or in your own city. Then I can look ahead to something pleasant after all this is over.

All my best always,
Winter
