SKC Organization

An email with the title Help Me Find a Memory led to a intriguing website of an organization called SKC. They are currently taking applicants and will be starting screening them on May 1st. De site also leads to a Twitter page, where I found some of you already among its followers. Maybe it's time to bring back to old gang again???

Nope I didn't get the email you referenced. I realised after the fact that when I signed up I probably should have used the code word from Kate Culloden. Will take a look at what you posted.

Did the latest email just say what you posted?

Mine was as follows:

Quote
Dear Russell,

Thank you for your application inquiry. We will begin screening applicants on May 1st, at which time we will send you directions for completing the next step in the application process.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
The SKC Organization

wc1b 3dg
22 9 14 4 15 12 1 14 4 1

And the trailhead email was:

Quote
Memories are tricky. Mine are not idyllic, but rather a patchwork of horror, like a bad dream that you can't remember clearly but that follows you throughout the day.

I work for an organization called the SKC. Well, I used to work there. They still consult with me on occasion but my mind is...not what it used to be.

For some time, I have reached an equilibrium. I have a new job, I have friends, I have a life. But things are happening. Memories are surfacing, and I think I'm being followed. I have more information, which I have...collected through observation.

I feel like I don't really know those closest to me, so I must turn to strangers for help.

The SKC is accepting applications for agents to head up a new mission, and they have entrusted me with vetting those applications. For now I am just collecting names, until I know how to proceed. Please do not reply to this email.

I must be careful.

Ok well using the search function within the url you were provided gives three additional pages:

Memory is the function of the brain in which data is encoded, stored, and retrieved when needed. It is the retention of data for the purpose of influencing future action.

Katherine had a photographic memory.

Reverse image search shows this is Eilean Donan Castle.

No luck on any of the passwords yet but a response on the application:

Quote
Congratulations on submitting your application to be an Agent in the SKC Organization. Level One of the Application Process begins today.

Level One contains the following steps:

Number = Time Elapsed (a word)

Sincerely,
The SKC Organization

Off to bed now though so will take a look in the morning. Where did you find the extra links?

Got the same email.

It now shows this on the website
https://skcorg.com/level-one-number/

ANSWER PASSWORD:
Spoiler: show
eleven

Then you get another puzzle:
Spoiler: show
Congratulations on making it to Level One of Agent Application Process.
Your first task is: LOCATION
atpgrbsyimmqqpsaxumdxpvoywiixcvtin

Using the given password as a key the Vigenere chiper translates to this sentence:
Spoiler: show
will no one rid me of this turbulent priest

What refers to the bishop of Canterbury.

Speaking of LOCATION, this could be the location then

I got the links from their archive page, which might had just been a glitch, cuz its closed again.
It said “Clearance level One” and showed me a list with memories, from where I could open only these two.

Got a bunch of emails today.

First was called "The Problem of Memory" and was the same story we already found once as Memory M.
When I replied on that email with the line: "I remember that I used to travel" I got a response email called "Travel"

Quote
Yes.

And once, I went to a city that I can no longer remember.

And in that city I lost something I can no longer find.

I also got an email regarding completing Mission One (the one about describing your favorite city) with the password for Mission Two, concerning naming a top 5 of cities.
Password =
Spoiler: show
population

After completing I got another email asking me to pick one of those 5 cities. I choose Tokyo, cuz thats where the picture in Memory M was taken (Tokyo Station)
They thanked me and promised me to send me a new assignment within 48 hours.

Are your emails/assignments similar to mine, Russell?

Yep, so far the same and randomly I also chose Tokyo for the next part. Today's email was simply:

Spoiler: show
Connect Three

Not sure what to do with that just yet.

The clue has to do with the picture we got last weekend.

The picture shows the gate of Canterbury's Cathedral.

When you look at the tab Pins on their website there are two cities 'pinned', London and Canterbury.
Maybe we have to link them with a third city?
